Sahara Sam’s Announces Grand Opening of Outdoor Water Park
West Berlin, NJ – Sahara Sam’s Oasis is expanding again. The grand opening of Sahara Sam’s latest expansion project, a two acre outdoor water park, will take place Memorial Day Weekend. The $6.5 million dollar outdoor expansion features a 25 meter leisure pool (The Blue Lagoon), a children’s play zone (Splish-Splash), a full service lounge (The Wipeout Tiki Bar), sand volleyball courts and a 12,000 sq. ft. wave pool (The Rip & Roll). The project also includes an 8,000 sq. ft. building addition featuring new kitchen facilities, restrooms, expanded party facilities, and a recently opened 350 ft. body slide, The Nile Mile.
Construction on the addition began November of 2012. Upon completion, Sahara Sam’s Oasis will offer a total of 68,000 sq. ft. of indoor, outdoor, wet and dry entertainment to the community. The project has created 125 new jobs internally, continues to stimulate business with local vendors and will increase total park capacity by over 50%.
Company Chairman, Sam Girlya, notes: “Despite a slow economy and concerns for families making tough economic decisions, we will continue to deliver a good value to our loyal guests. As a family run business we believe in the strong resilience of the South Jersey economy.”
The Sahara Sam’s Oasis Outdoor Water Park, known informally as the “Beach Club”, is available at no additional cost to the Annual Pass members or with a standard admission ticket. The Outdoor Water Park will operate Memorial Day through Labor Day with select weekends in September.
